Just ordered my JVC KW-AVX810, double din in dash kit for the scion, and the ipod adaptor. It should be ready to install by wednesday. I'm really excited cuz this is my first car and first HU install. I'll let u guys know how things go and take some pics. Anyone got any advice for installing this unit or anything i should know?

Hey sorry i dont have any advise either. But definitely let us know how it goes. And give us your opinion of the head unit when youre done. Also don't be a retard like me. When i installed my amp into the head unit, i scratched my waterfall to hell against my shift ****.

I just did a little research on that unit and it looks awesome! Definitely let me know your opinion on it because that's a great bargain for $500.

The installation went good. I installed it a couple days ago and then did the bypass last night. The only thing I have to say is that even though i drilled holes in the mounting brackets back farther, the door is still having a hard time closing. It is a little frustrating after all that work but I guess its ok. I'll post pictures up later. It seems like a great unit so far though!
