Kenwood DNX8120, stock mounting bracket, door doesn't close
Anyone have a fix for these big nav units that make it so our door doesn't close? I am debating whipping out my dremel and 'fixin it good'. It needs to sit back about an extra 1/4 inch or so.
Let me know what you got to make these fix. I imagine it is a lot like most of the other all in one full din deck's out there.
Thanks SL!

Nah I haven't cut anything yet. I was waiting for kit from Crutchfield, but apparently it is just the end pieces that fill the gaps on the sides. http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...px?i=120958202
I think I am still going to use them because they look like they might work better then the stuff that came with the deck. I'll find out tonight.
Basically you are telling me, look at the problem and start cutting it to fit. =) I am cool with that, just want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

Okay Scott. I've got it apart and I am looking at it. So that is what I am going to do first. If that doesn't work I am going to make the hole bigger, there is plenty of metal to work with I think.
I'll report back when I figure it out.

Alright, let me clarify what Scott may have been talking about and probably what I came to realize after a detour down the wrong path. Not to bore you all with my trails.
This is what you need to do in order to make it work.
There are four alignment 'nubbin/indentations' and four holes for the screws. Drill out all four indentations with a small drill. Finally drill the two front indentations out with a drill bit the same size as the original mounting holes. Then just use those two new front holes to mount the deck with.
Let me know if you have any questions.
