I am agreeing with SquallHeart... Its not an easy task, inside that keyring is all the copper wire for the key sense and if that gets messed up then you can't start the car you would have to get it towed to the dealer.

So I wouldn't attempt it....

im currently doinhg my led swap and took apart my key area.. there isnt away to get the circuit board out.. the led is actualy standing on its side and has a brace of some sort on the end. you cant access the top of hte board as the wire winding of the key area are solid in place.. so you can just put some translucent vinyl of your color choice as thats gonna be the easisest..

or, if you got *****, like i might find some... you can cut back the plastic revealing the top of the led.. the plastic is non replacable as ithas to be cut out and is under the sticker decal, which i dont know if it is a sticker or part of the ingntion.. it says amplifier/immobilizer.. so i may have just took myself out at the knee's if thats what it is.. but i will find out soon enough.. im gonna stick it back on, but who knows right? lol..i think im gonna just leave it be w/ some vinyl and not try it till i get a spare to f up..

there is no room for a SF.. your lucky if you can fit a 3mm in there.. its solid plastic around that area.. there is room enough between teh white led and the plastic light pipe for only a plcc2.. thats it.. and getting the wiring there is gonna be a beotch..
