Okay, I had the car now for about a year. Only really had one key, but it worked fine. Well yesterday it stopped, so I was wondering what happened? THe light still flashes when i push a button on the key. I pulled out the battery and it got 3. some volts, i guess thats enough power right? Put everything back together and made sure there was contact in the key, still nothing? What could it be, should i buy another battery for the key? does it need to be reset? Any help would be great.

 

Update, followed the reset and my single is key is working again, but now im looking to get another key, anyone ever have some luck with the blank cut keys on ebay, i could program it to myself.

 

I know that a discount Toyota dealer charges $150 for a cut key without programming. Use that as a price comparison.
