yeah.. regular halogen bulbs.. what the reflectors were designed for.

proper research would've told you that led "replacement bulbs" are not the way to go when it comes to taillights and such.

for the most part... it's dimmer than when you had your regular bulbs in there the first place.

the LED backup lights mod was specifically stated that it was only for looks... you'll never get the kind of light that a halogen gives you with some LEDs, otherwise we'd have LED headlights, which would actually be kinda cool if it worked

buy a pioneer d1 with the rear camera, then you should be able to see when backing up. im not sure why you need lights to see when your not driving an big rig? But IDK?

I wish they made 50 watt halogen bulbs in 921. They have them for 1156 which I put in my Saturn. Hella bright. You'll melt the housing if you leave it on for too long.

it's fun trying to see behind you when it's dark outside..

how bad is it that you can't see with your regular bulbs in there in the first place?

It's fun putting it in reverse at a light if someone has their brights on. Some reason there are a ton of drivers in my area that drive with their brights on all the time at night. If I could find similar bulbs for the tC, I'd find a way to connect it to a switch so I can flash it at people when I'm rolling down the road.

There are also many large SUVs whose headlights, even at low beams, are at the height and brightness where they blind anyone driving in resposible vehicles practicing resposible headlight practices

what makes it even worse is that they have no idea... but of course considering the caliber of the mass majority of the people who drive such vehicles, its not surprising
