Default Knukonceptz konFUSED KNF-23 (anyone used it?)

I just received this item today and it uses a compression type connection that frankly Im not impressed with at all.

http://www.knukonceptz.com/assets/Tech/knfhowto.pdf

Unless I have just missed something completely, the connection is not at all tight. I used the approprate ring for the cable I have and after tightening down I noticed the cable moved around a bit. I pulled on the cable with a little force and was able to pull it out of the fitting.

If anyone has used this and knows better let me know, otherwise I do not recommend this product at all.

On a side note... My Polk SR124 DVC's and second Polk C500.1 arrived today. The SR124's are sweet. Unfortunately the break in period is something like 60 hours.

Both my roommate and I have ordered their amp kits from them and they make some good quality stuff based on my experience. Have you folded the wire around the fitting like in picture 3? I want to say that would make a difference if you haven't. Also, check the fold and make sure it is consistent around the entire egde.

Yes its folded around, consistent and the fitting it tightened down all the way. After posting I found out a guy I recently met has the two output version. I checked his and was able to pull the cable out as well.

Just a poor design IMO. It might actually be tight enough for what it does but Im basing it on my electrical background where a loose connection like this would just be a point for problems in the future.

If anyone has a GOOD 1 gauge set screw type distribution block that will accept ANL fuses and has three 4 gauge outputs Im willing to trade

Ok distribution block aside...

Im ordering wire right now and need to know what size to get for grounding. I planned on a distribution grounding block and was going to do 4 gauge from ground to block and 4 gauge out to amps but looking at some of these blocks it seems that 4 gauge in and 8 gauge out seems to be popular.

Will that be sufficient ???

what kind of amps are you running?
If they are pulling less than 50-60 amps each then 8ga will be fine, more than that your going to want 4 ga up to 125 amps

One Polk C400.4 and two Polk C500.1.

Chatting with eD support now and they suggested 0 to ground and out from block with 4 so thats my ticket

Im really picking their brain but at least I am going to actually order from them.

I just placed my first order with eD. Just some wire and distribution blocks. If the product is anything like the tech support I should be pleased.
