I searched but couldn't find a good answer. I am doing the L.E.D. swap for my guages and HVAC myself. Where is the best place to get blue L.E.D.'s for the best price. I don't want some cheap crap that is going to go out in a month. Please help in any way that ya can.

I sell them, so does garage1217 and I think squallheart ,so you can pm any of us.

We also do the swaps, so you can pm about those as well. After this week, my swaps will not add any resistors to the HVAC board itself and will cut no traces, so they will come out cleaner and easier to switch back to stock.

Feel free to pm an of us on here that do the swaps, we dont work together, but most of us have similar deals on the pricing and parts and will get you going in the right direction.

yes, plcc-2 is the size

 

PLCC-2 is the package size. They are surface mount leds. If you order from anywhere other than me, the others I mentioned or LC-LED.com, make sure you check the output and view angle. They should be around 350 - 500 mcd and have a view angle of at least 120 degrees to really come out the way they should. Then make sure to do the mod to the HVAC unless you are using red.

how many LEDs were needed to do a complete conversion for the gauges and HVAC?
and do u have to solder anything casue i know NOTHING about soldering?
