Default LED PEOPLE question for ya.

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-50X-Superflu...82473776QQrdZ1

how do u wire (or give power to) superflux LEDs?

i hear they are brighter/better then regular 3/5/10 mm leds... and thought of maybe using some of these with a couple projects...

and how do these work?
http://cgi.ebay.com/50X-5mm-4Pin-RGB...76048475QQrdZ1

http://cgi.ebay.com/50X-SMD-SMT-LEDS...77906962QQrdZ1
and are theses the ones needed for the stock sterios, window buttons, and steering wheel controls? or can the PLCC do the steering wheels also (are those the ones used in the gauges... i forgot )
thanks :D

superflux leds just have two legs for (+) and two legs for (-)
best to hook up both. they are much better in terms of an even brightness/wash light distribution

the RGB leds, for that particular one, is a common Anode... it means all of the three colors.. (red, green, and blue) share the same anode (+) and to control the amount of colors... you control the output of power (-) side of each color.

the stock stereo uses 0603 which are much smaller than the 1206.

the 1206 are only used in the door switches.

and the plccs are the rest of the car, steering wheel controls, gauges, and hvac.

can u wire a superflux by itself? or do they have to be in a series like 5mm?

you will need to wire 3 or more in series. You can do more, but they will not be as bright, if you do less, you will burn them out.
