anybody have a DIY or guide?

i've done the search and found multiple guages and hvac's , some ac vents as well.

any help would be great!

Its not totally complete but gives you an idea. I've swapped 6 radios so far (all local). I actually just ordered more LEDs from Jeremy (Garage1217) to redo my radio colors. The LEDs are extremely tiny and require full attention to detail and some skill. Its not that difficult but much harder then the gauges/hvac. If you have questions, ask.

 

thanks! i just did my guages/hvac/steering wheel. all thats left is the radio. so it looks like i need 30 LEDs more for the radio. what type are they?

also didn't look like resistors needed to be swapped...

I dont have any of those in stock. I dont get a lot of requests to do head units, so I normally buy them as I need them.

I have the upgrade premium stereo doesn't any know how to modify that or seen it around?

 

i think the upgrade premium one you can change it to blue in the setting. turn it off, hold mute or power for 3 secs, something like that

 

the screen itself can't change color. it's an oeld which is white i believe..

as far as the radios... i would suggest always buying about 40.. as even as skilled as some people can be, you want a good amount of extras for a good buffer.

whether it may be losing them, breaking them (as they may tend to be a bit fragile being that small), or anything else that you might encounter.

there are a few websites out there that sell them in a large bulk quantity that ends up being pretty cheap. just shop around.

Well i know i could change it to blue i know how to do that but i want my interior green and white. so the display is really no big concern to me. most people go for blue thats not even my color thats why i want to change it out. so it it possible does anyone have pictures i could look at that was be great.

 

anybody have a diagram for the stock 08 radio? i want to have a few whites and reds in there, so i know how much to order (0603 leds)

those leds are so small i suggest you order more then you need man just to be on the safe side.

 

yea i ordered 30 blues so far, but i wanted to know how many of them actually on the #s? or the mute/power button? or the *****? cause i want those red/white or should i just order 30 blues, 30 reds and 30 whites. i can do every combination possible lol

Radios SUCK to swap haha. 0603's are sooooo tiny. I stock red, green, blue and white in 0603. Have about 400 of each color in stock right now. Buy extra as mentioned!!! You will kill off a few, sneeze and loose a few... You get the idea. They are TINY.
