Lighting up the back
Alright guys, I have my Footwells, and Underseat neon. Id like a bit more in the back, I have 2 9'' LED Flex Strips. I wanted to know the best way to wire these, and maybe some tips on placement.. I want them to be hard to see the LED's themselfs, kinda like defused lighting, I believe if you cant see the light source them selfs, it looks best. I have 2 12'' In the back, its a temporary setup until I get my custom box But i wanted to know if you guys know any good spots to put neon in. Also, Do i need to drag the cords all the way to my battery?? I already have the front neon wired to the battery, and a switch on the pannel and I have an extra switch but i wasnt sure if i really wanted to use that switch just for 2 neons in the back.. Anywehre else i can tie this power too?
Any input would be great guys. Thanks

What I planned for the back was in the side panels using a 9.5" flexable LED from Oznium on each side.
mark on the panel where it faces down and drill out holes for the LEDs to fit into......glue it to the inside of the panel.......and power off the rear dome light..........
I used this to do my firewall under the hood........takes a bit of time to mark and drill and mount and clean the area but the lights are hidden till turned on and then you get.........just the glow

I have not got them hooked in yet...........but you have to remove the rear seats to pop out the panel if I remember correctly......then the trim around the hatch by the floor to run the wires to the passenger side.
In the panels you want to drill holes that area as big as the LEDs.......I plan on using flex strips, but you can use single LEDs as well.........wire them to the switch power supply..........I have not gotten into it to look at the switch, but if it has wires hooked up find the one that comes on when the hatch is open but is not hot when the hatch is closed and use it for + and then ground the other wire to the chassis.doing this should allow you to use the switch to open the circuit to turn off the lights just like the rear light turns off by the switch..........or run them as well as the side rear light when the hatch is open.
If I am wrong on this someone please let me know as it has been a while since I spliced into a light on a hatch.

I think I might just tie to the front switch pannel that would make alot more sence and probably take much less work. Or i could tap it off my wiring right now. Ill see what happens. Lemme know if anything comes up with yours
