Default Line Out Converter Installation

I have installed a line out converter to my 07 release series TC. Here is my set up. I have the rear speaker wires going to the line out converter and a remote wire coming from the factory installed amp to my rockford fosgate 851s. I can get sound to my subs but when i turn up the volume the bass is very weak and my regular speakers drown out any audible noise from the subs. I adjusted the bass on the stock head unit, the gain on the Scoche LOC, and on the amp and still no hard power. the subs only sound good when I

1. adjust the fader to the rear
2. adjust the balance to only the left or right speaker
3. turn the volume to the max

solutions i can think of would be to install the converter directly to the back of the headunit

get a new LOC

what do you guys think? anybody else ran into this problem?

What kind of power wire are you running? And how many Watts from the amp?

The stock head units have a tendency to lower bass output as you increase the main volume, I believe that it's designed to do that to reduce distortion in the stock speakers due to an excessive amount of bass that they're not designed to handle. You kinda have to compensate for it by other means (I just turn up the remote bass level **** for my Kicker amp).

You might also want to double check your subwoofer(s) wiring and make sure that it's running in parallel or in series and producing the right load to your amp (it should be around the 2 ohm range that your amp is rated at)

Also, assuming that your LOC is fine, it shouldn't matter much if it's installed right before the amp or right after the head unit.

what causes me to hear the subs best when i have the power goin to a single rear speaker??? Guess I'm gonna have to rip my panels off again to see whats goin on. I would hate to think I wired them wrong. Would a rca volume thing make them louder?

i have the 6" factory sub that was in the car. I have my remote wire to my fosgate amp running off that wire harness. I tried tapping into the speaker wires for that subwoofer harness to match the LOC wires and it worked but when i turned my car off and back on I would get no sound unless i removed a wire from the harness and plugged it back in.

by the way I have 2 p310d2 rockford subs. I know they are getting enough juice from the amp.
