Default is Line out convertors the only way to go??

I'm using a line out convertor on my tc right now for the subwoofer amplifier. However i noticed the stock headunit cuts the low bass, which annoys me. Is the stock bazooka subwoofer also connected with a line out convertor? I don't mind the stock headunit if i could get around the sound processing.

i am not to sure where you can find it in your area, but Metra makes a kit that gives you an RCA out that comes out of the stock harness, that gives you an RCA out.

it looks something lke that, but to be purely honest i am not too shure on how it works, but it looks like it works the same way imo. with the stock headunit, the LOC is your best bet imo.

maybe change the eQ settings (use xB feel)? or even turn up the gain on your amp?

to the best of my knowledge, the only way to really fix the problem you're having is to upgrade to an aftermarket HU, the stock HU is designed to cut frequencies that it determines are potentially harmful to your speakers...get a new HU and you will be blown away by the difference in the sound of your system..

well... if your dead set on keeping your factory head unit and wanting to add an 4 channel amplifier... the best way to get great sound is either a JL cleansweep of a rockford 3sixty... both are basically line out converters that clean up all the crappy sound and make it so you have 4 volt out puts... its a much better way to go than a regular line out... although its a pricey way to go last i checked CS is like 350ish and 3sixty is like 300ish...

but like stated before... an aftermarket deck would be your best bet... you can even keep the steering controls if you feel it need be... just get the pac piece to do so...

I bought this, but haven't installed yet because I haven't bought the amp or sub yet:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAC-O...49373131QQrdZ1

Seemed to be better quality and a little cheaper than most of the others on ebay.

i was just hoping that i could get away with using the stock deck... but after hooking up the system directly to an mp3 player the stock radio really kills the bass and with 2 eclipse subs i want to hear all my bass lol.

remember mp3 players store the data in compressed files, so the sound is not as good as an actual (not burned) cd...

go get that Head unit...and don't forget to solder your leads instead of using butt connectors, that will help too

i'm not new to sound... personally unless its a few specific songs I can't tell the difference between cd and a good 192kbps mp3 but thats an advantage to me
