Little help please!
I installed a T1808 Pioneer/Scion HU in my '05 tC two weeks ago. I received the SC12235 cable last week to connect the iPod to the radio. Before doing setting it up, I decided to test the CD player as well. I took out a BRAND NEW cd, loaded it in, and it gave me an error 1. Figuring I had the iPod, who cares, I tried to connect the ipod, nothing showed up on the radio right away, but the ipod showed the song, and "Ok to disconnect". Tried resetting the ipod (a 80g ipod classic, in case you wanted to know) and tried reconnecting. I even tried to go to a local Toyota/Scion dealership in Jersey. They said unless I had a wrap around warranty, they could not really do anything besides send it out for repair or buy a remanufactured one, at which point I might as well just buy one from ebay. Now my question is this, is there anything I can do for this? Any kind of (I hate to sound stupid but...) "magic" special trick reset I can do? If it's a matter of parts, I have my old stock single cd player and if need be, I can pull that one for parts, but obviously I'd prefer not to. Or should I just buy new radio and be done with it? Thank you in advance...

And believe me, I'd love a dvd/ipod capable receiver... But getting married and saving for a house causes a SLIGHT cash flow issue. Plus I like the stock units (when they work) and if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
