anyone got any sugestions. i dont want to get a regular box i want a slim box not looking for bass rattling window shattering bass but i would like more thump than a stock one ( i listen to hardcore not rap). also i dont want any ecess weight. also can i hook this and a amp up to stock system (2009 SCM tc)?

 

Don't get a sub and amp. Absolutely no way to get around adding weight... Even a little. The amps aren't bad... but a sub in a box will add a decent amount.

^ Yes you can, it's easy, many have done it, including me.

To save weight, you can go with a small sealed box custom made from fiberglass and a small 8" sub. Won't be cheap or loud, but at least it'd be light weight.

If you're really concerned about weight, then you should also care about where it's located. Simply throwing a box in back put the weight toward one end of the car and above it's center of gravity, which isn't too good for performance.

the car is almost 3000lb, i don't think another 15 lb will make a difference.

I guess the OP need a fiber glass box. I made a ported wood box 1.5 cubic feet and it is heavy.

hey op I have the one GammaTNT posted in the link for sale, slim box and 10" sub used for maybe a week.

 

im thinkin a custom job. idk about that whole site it doesnt even have a brand. im thinkin maby polk,mmemphis,jbl, or rockford fosgate. im gonna get 2 10'' slimbox subs on the left and right side with fiberglass over it i think... not too sure yet.

 

you are not going to get that for 300 unless you buy used stuff or cheap stuff.

Oh and the site GammaTNT posted is a quality brand, their quality is a lot higher than some of the brands you posted because they are not massed produced which can lead to cheap parts and defects.
