Default Money Stuck In My TC

Right in the center above the cupholders I put loose change in the little compartment. Is that suppose to be an ashtray or what?I dont smoke anyway.Well over time the little door was getting a little harder to open all the way and now I realize that some coins have gotten inside the door crack. The cracks seem to small for this to have happened but I can here the coins rattleing in there. If I bang it some coins come out the bottom LOL.

Does anyone know how I can the cash out,I dont know how to go about removing the center piece if anyone can help. Thanks my 1st post.

OMG! Someone has the same problem! Yay/sucks. Yeah, someone needs to give some advice, thanks.

To remove the center console thing though you can go
HERE and it's like a few pictures down, lol.

I wonder if it works ... I haven't tried it yet, you let me know how that goes, haha, k?

I had the same problem, i tore the console apart and got all the money out.

The console comes apart EXTREMELY easy. Shouldnt take more than 2 minutes.

Yeah...just take it apart. It takes like 3 min if you know what you're doing, 10 min if you don't.

Yup its very easy to take apart, Scion made it to where it all snaps together. For the automatic guys, your going to have to put the car in neutral and take off the shift **** to get the one piece out of there. Once you get all the stuff taking apart I just turned mine upside down and two quarters slid right out. Nothing like having fun taking something apart and getting money for it LOL. If need be I'll do a video of taking it apart. Just let me know if you guys would like one.

Well its good to know this is a common problem and some people in this world still use money instead of plastic all time. I use plastic like 95-98% of the time, but I love change...its so small you never notice how quick it adds up. When my two quarters got stuck, I took all the change out of it and had over 15 bucks in there, I was shocked!

I can't believe so many others have gotten change stuck in that damn little compartment lol! I asked the dealership if they could get it out, they said they'd charge me for taking the console apart.. yeah.. so I think I'm gonna go take some **** apart right now. Hope it's easy enough

That spot was designed to hold your Cell Phone.....

I just use the upper part of the storage compartment. Keeps everything loose out of the way

OK I took apart the dash pretty quickly.. there was about $1 worth of change just blocking the compartment from closing. Oddly, it felt soo good to get that **** out, it'd been jammed for about 9 months
