Default motorized amp rack

what kind of motor and where can i get it?

i want to make an amp rack that i can rest the amp on top and make it slide out. I'm going to use the braces that you find in desk drawers that slide the drawers out.

Most people doing that would use a linear actuator.

Here's a link to what's available at Select Product's website, which is just one of many places that sell them online, so you can shop around for the best price.

Don't forget to route your cabling properly. If it's too tight it will pull put and too loose and it will get caught in the slide. A rotary motor will also work using a chain drive like a garage door. Screw drives can also be used and are the most reliable I think. Try searching like hobbyist robotics and model aircraft forums, they're used a lot there.
