My amplifier adapter...
I know a lot of people just splice in a line out adapter to their car's wiring harness...but I hate tearing up the factory harness and I like quality parts in my car
This guy plugs in between the factory head unit and the harness to give line out and remote power signal.
Enjoy!

are you just going to split the two amped outputs to all the speakers? bridge them? how does this work exactly??? what about impedance problems???
Thanks
Well, if I use this particular adapter without adding a second line out adapter, I'll probably run two pairs of tweeters off the head unit, then run a pair of RCAs to the back, split them to the 4 channel amp, then run a crossover RCA to the sub amp.
I'm also thinking of using a pair of custom 2 channel amps and electronic crossovers I built to run the tweeters. Otherwise I've already built passive xovers with excellent components for my Vifa mids/tweets.
We'll see how it sounds. I love the Vifas...going to try a less expensive sub this time (used a JL 10w3 in my Civic).
My main reason for using the stock HU is that theft is a big problem where I work..plus it already plays MP3s which is usually my main reason for replacing a factory HU.
Also, on impedence, years ago when I built my first "good" car system I used a 4 channel Hifonics amp to run all my speakers. My fronts and rears were bridged on the amp's front channel to give 2 ohms, and the rear channels on the amp were bridged to 4 ohms running a JL (10w0 I think? Long time now...). Sounded nice and didn't cost a lot.
Wow, that's a long post!
