my audio setup dilemma

my audio setup dilemma
was up ppl?
I'm starting my sound project for my tc and I need some opinions
At this point I don't want to install a sub basically because I think it taks too much space out of the trunk and custom enclosures are too expensive..
When I actually decide to buy a sub I'll probably try to find a bazooka enclosure and upgrade the sub and amp..
but for now this is what I have in mind:
1st option:
- 1 pair of edi 6500's for the front and a pair of Eu-650's for the rear with a nine.4 sub powering them..
2nd option:
- 1 pair of edi 6000's for the fronto + a pair of Eu-600's for the rear with a nine.2 sub powering them..
I'm looking for sound quality but I definetely like to feel the bass (just waiting for a better sub solution before spending some barons on it)..
Which one of the configuration is a better value for what I want? I mean.. the 2nd one is about $100 less expensive so if the difference is not big in terms of bass and quality I could go for that but if the 1st one is much better I wouldn't mind spending $100 more...
Another question is what should I get in terms of wires and parts related to the installation of the speakers and amp (wires, baffles, etc)?
Lastly: I want to change the HU too.. I hate de factory one :/ but I'm not capitalized enough for a GPS so I'm looking for a single-din with excellent sound quality and controls... I don't know much about brands but I heard alpine and kenwood are pretty good.. price range for the HU would be below $300 and I'd like to keep the steering wheel controls so let me know if I need an adaptor or something..
thanks for the help.. all opinions are appreciated :D

this is the HU that I am currently using.
JVC KD-LH810
Here is a link for a pretty good deal on it. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14903
It has everything that you would need for what you want to do.
as for the speakers. I can't say that I know anything about elemental Designs products so I guess I am no help for you there. Sorry.

6500's would be a better choice for the fronts... sound deadened doors and MDF baffles and you'll think you've got little subs somewhere (granted correct installation/setup)... could do that and then get 2 Eu-700's for the hatch like OneLiterPeter did... super clean install and not much room taken up by the enclosure...

I saw OneLiterPeter enclosure and it looks pretty awesome!! :D
I liked that choice but he also uses Eu-600's midrange in the rear... should I get that or get Eu-650's? or leave it alone?
is the nine.2x enough to play everything or should I get I amp for the subs and another for the speakers?

6500s up front definitely worth the $$ over 6000s imo.
Don't do the 6500s and a Nine.2X...that's just dangerous for most people...Nine.2 + 6500s = enough.
The Nine.4 + 6500s/Eu-650's would be best if you want something in the back.
Nine.2 + 6500s - rear fill = what I have right now

I definetely like something in the back as long as I can feel a difference in quality and power.. I think the sub I'll do at another time..
so 6500's/eu-650 front/rear + nine.4
later I can get 2 eu-700's in the hatch + nine.2 playing them
would that sound nice?
thanks
