Default My completed audio system......(with some minor changes)

here are new pics of my new finished setup... it consists of the following:

*Head Unitioneer DEH-7800MP
*Front Stagehoenix Gold RSD65CS comps, Deadened and sealed doors with Edead V1SE
*Rear stage:Stock rears off HU power(usually off, or faded real low)
*Amps:Kicker ZX750.1(sub), Kicker ZX550.2(comps)
****Sub Stage:10" Treo SSi, 1.75CuFt net, 35hz, 22 sq in of port (OLD, SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE!!)****

on with the pics.... i have lots :-)

with the cover closed.

a shot of the HU playing some tunage.

deadened and sealed off the doors with sheet metal and Edead V1SE, b4 putting the comps in.

the comps, the woofer in the door spot, and the tweets in the kicks

the sub stage, with the amps mounted on the back of the box.

the beautiful yet powerful Kicker amps.

amp for the sub

amp for the front comps(notice it's the bigger of the two)

I'm happy and pretty proud of it, but let me know what you guys think. i'm open to comments and suggestions as well.

]*******UPDATE: i changed my substage out for something very different. it might not look as pretty but it sounds so much cleaner and better. also it is actually pretty much just as loud.

i still have the same head unit, same front speakers, and same amps. i just swapped out the sub and box for a new setup.

it's a Dayton Reference 10 HO subwoofer, in a .72 cuft (net) ported box tuned to roughly 28-30hz. it sounds so much better. it has way flatter response, is extremely sensitive, and kicks like crazy for rock/metal music. it has much better SQ and you can really really feel the bass drum kicks in your chest. it's crazy.

here are the pics...

thanks man, and it sounds even better than it looks. it's geared more towards SQ than SPL, it can still get pretty loud though. but it sounds crystal clear at any volume i have tried to play it at so far.

i know it's not "true high end SQ" but it's awesome SQ at a great price. it probably won't win any real sanctioned SQ events but it's the best sounding car stereo i have heard and to my ears it sounds absolutely amazing. :-)

when you deadened your door how did you put the panel back on with the doors completly sealed?
Im retty sure there were foam pieces on the door panel.
And I think those foam parts are for absorbing the inpact of a side impact/crash?

there WERE foam pieces there. i didn't notice they were there till i tried putting the first door skin back on. i already had the holes in the door panel covered with the sheetmetal and edead so i ripped the foam pieces off of the door skin and tossed them out. it's probably not recommended, but i did it.

actually it's a funny story. i was invited to join a local car club and the pres owns a car audio shop. so i stopped by and happened to see the sub sitting in his shop(never having ever heard of treo). once i layed eyes on it i told him i had to have one, so he let me "demo" it in my car and i've had it ever since. i still actually have never paid him for it, but i also left him with my alpine type r in a box. i absolutely love the sub though, it destroys the lows, even being a ten.

yea, she is dirty, and yes i will post up pics of the 3 big wires under the hood when i do them. i don't have any voltage drop at all during normal listening and very little when i play rap or bass songs loudly. so i am not in a rush to get the wire. i rarely play rap though, only when showing off the bass to friends.

yes, the inside is 1.75 cubic feet after port and driver displacement. it's what Treo (the sub manufacturer recommended). i figured they knew their stuff so i did what they said and it sounds sweet.

i had to cut a 4 inch hole in it for the port tube for my last sub box. i should not have cut it but i had to for the last box i had in there. it was a little bit to tall and was actually trying to suck the cover into the port. i plan on covering up the whole cargo cover in a new fabric to cover the hole, but for now i glued an extra piece of black felt on it. eventually i will fix it. when i go to shows and stuff i take the cover off anyway so i'm not to worried about it really.

well over the last few days i noticed how much better it was sounding while i was sitting in a parking lot or my driveway playing it with the car off. i was thinking it was my ingalls ETD. i had really noticed how loud it gets when it's cold and also makes the whole car kinda shake at idle. so today i took the 3 minutes and took it off. OMG is it quieter in my car. i might try rebuilding it with quieter ends or just leave it off and sell it. but the reduction in noise is crazy.
