Default my new 10" Bassforms sub enclosure for Scion TC

woot! i ghetto painted it but i think it turned out decent. the build quality is average. the bottom isn't straight, and i had a hard time installing the sub since the inner hole wasn't wide enough to properly mount. I had to use a jigsaw to cut out a portion of it to make it fit.. but after all is said and done, it sounds excellent. Actually it sounds better with the Infinity Kappa Perfects then my older Kicker Solobaric 12" L5.

i got it from Bassforms for $150 local pickup. http://www.bassforms.com/bassforms/tc.html

but the whole reason i went with this was so i could save space. My old Kickers:

Looks good.

How long did it take you?

Was this your first fiberglass experience?

this is tangential - but I'm looking to get a sub myself, only I don't want a TC-specific enclosure. Did you think the infinity kappa perfect would still beat the kicker solo if they were in the same type of enclosure?

Check out edesignaudio.com, there quickly making ahuge name for themselves in the SQ world and recently had one of there customers take 2nd at World Finals with 4 of there 6.5" Subs. I'd suggest a 13kv.2 or a 13ov.2 for the TC. And they can make you TC Specific as well as non specific enclosures. If you get one of there subs grab one of there amps too.

That's not a bad deal.

Which ones are the $700 ones? That seems like a more realistic price for an enclosure like this (custom made though).

I'd have to say the infinity would probably sound a little better, but in no way will it be louder than a kicker l5/7 in a comparable box... if the kicker was sealed and the infinity was in a fart box, it's possible that it'd be louder but it would sound like crap - hence fart box...

for the best of both worlds with some GREAT pricing, go to www.edesignaudio.com or PM "mandos" on here.

I email Elemental Design for more info on their custom TC box. The site does'nt mention max mounting depth for the 10" sub, how the box is finished or how exactly does it fit.

That's funny!! For the same exact box? I would at least make my own...

P.S. I think you forgot the link.

Yea, I don't know the specs of the ED boxes, but I have noticed they have a very good reputation on the forum.
