Default My new boxes........very nice

Well after almost 40 days of waiting for them both to arrive I finally got them........

Bassforms boxes for the tC.....Great quality....I need to raise my rear floor by 1 3/4" still and mount the NINe.5 under the floor under plexi, but that is coming in a few weeks.I was going to paint the floor and boxes Sizzing crimson mica but due to time constraints waiting for them toarrive I am gonna wrap the flor in carpet and paint the boxes only.

If anyone should get these boxes they are great but you still need to trim the enclosure opening for your subs to fit in as they are about 1/4" too small to fit many subs, but it is easy enough and you also need to build a false floor that is higher so they mount in the car perfectly.

Subs are Image Dynamics 10" D2s and my amp will be at 2 ohms for them with about 250-300w each going to them......depends on how clean the signal is before clipping.

I will post up the finished pictures in a few weeks hopefully........money is tight and I still need about $100 to finsih the project.......

Nice. I used to have the same exact boxes in my TC and they sound awesome.

I had to get my trunk space back so I switched to a stealth setup.

I still have the boxes. They just sit in my garage. Sometimes I wish I could go back.

Congrats man. They will sound great. :D

I got quite a ways to go on gettign them installed. To get the very tightest fit the floor has to go up 1 3/4" higher to snug them up perfectly.

This is cool though as it gives me more room to mount the amp under the floor that way.going to put it bottom side up with the circuits showing through the plexi window I am putting in the floor.

I was going to paint the MDF Floor and boxes the exterior color of the car but due to time constraints with the next show in 3 weeks I am just gonna wrap the floor in black leather to match the Clazzios I am gonna order next year.

the NINe.5 is almost a pain to use in the tC.....tooo damn big to put anywhere.....LOL
But it really odes work very well, tunable, easy to change setups with, and has a lot more clean power than advertised.I pushed it at 600w to the subs at 1.33ohms and the amp never even got hot and still had a lot more gain to go probably could get a clean 700w out of the sub channel before clipping.

Bassforms.com I might of been the only unhappy customer they have had in a while, they had an issue with their supplier and kept gettign delays, and the right side box instead of the left side box that I needed. It took about 40 days to get both boxes,

The only modifacation needed to install are the inner ring the subs mount to is 9" opening and my subs needed 9 1/4"opening to fit, dremel was my friend for about 4 hours of carefull sanding.

Also the rear floor needs lifted in the car about 1 3/4" to make them fit the snugest possible,I knew this going into the purchase.they can be used with out raising the floor, but are not as cleanly installed.

Since I am making a new rear floor anyway this gives me over 4 inches under it to mount the amp and have good amounts of cooling space.

Plus the best part is I get to keep my spare tire and tools under there too.

Yeah the boxes come painted almost a BSP color, but they could use a bit of clear coat and work to get them to look perfect.

Subs are Image Dynamics 10" D2s......a very clean sounding sub and each one will take about 350w but would clip before they got there I would think.

Image Dynamics also makes another 10" sub that takes 700w with same sound clarity but louder.

Gotta love the NINe.5.....it is about the most multi use amp I have ever tried.
