I searched and only game up with people asking what gps unit to get...if a topic on it already, link me please!

I am putting in the avn5435 and my question is the book says to at least mount it within 19" or something of the unit...then it says it works better outside the car by the trunk which is opposite...

I am thinking of mounting it right above the main center air vents and tucking the wire around the vents and plugged into the unit...that way its right in the center of my dash and clear view of the front window...what do u think of that?

above the rear view mirrow, on the black area of the window. it hide nicely and work ok for me
