Default Navigation install.. will cover still function?

hi.. my girlfriend has an 06 TC that I wanted to put a navigation unit in.. probably the D2 or maybe an eclipse unit.. basically a flush indash unit.. not a flip out.. she gets lost very easily so i figured this would be a good gift.. the only thing that i was wondering is if she will lose that flip down cover.. she like loves that cover.. everytime she gets out of the car she puts it down... anyway just wondering if i install one of these radio/nav units if the cover will be lost or if it will still work.. Thanks

In-dash will work, Retractable will not. You might need to adjust the stock brackets a little, but the door should still work.

All you need to do is push the mounting of the unit back about 1/2 an inch and the door closes without a hitch... Live it up!

if you get the D2 on each side stock bracket you will see dimples, drill those out with a 3/8" drill bit(front dimples only) and put the screws in the front 2 holes on each side. WHA LA!!! Flush mount and door stil closes.
