I need some help. I ordered some 8 inch grilles from SoundDomain, and they dont fit the 9kv.2. The grilles wont even clear the surrounds, let alone the gasket area. So in other words the width of the grills are to narrow.

Anyone buy grilles for these speakers? I want somehthing that protects the speaker very well like a full mesh grill. I tried 10 inch grilles but they are two big too fit on my .6cf box.

the eD subs dont need grills, those subs are uber clean and sexy looking! :D

i had some bad luck also when i had my other sub, the grill isnt big enough. I know i'm not helpin, but i did go through this before, i just left it as is.

We had a forum member that started a 3 bar style grill...not sure whatever happened. I'll try to find it.

Just a side note, these things sound really great. 2 of them running of a 10 year old Orion Cobalt 265 bump like my old PG xmax 10s.

While waiting for resin to cure I whipped up a quick version of the grill referenced in this tread and it looks sweet!

I am going to get it powdercoated but before i do that, ill get some pics up here real soon. I built it for my 10" sub but will be able to make it for an 8" as well.

I am going to help my brother pick up his 72 ford gran torino sport that just had a custom built 351 clevland put in, so imma a bit busy right now!!

Are you guys off sick today? Im going on a long trip in two weeks, where im going to be haluing stuff back across the country in my trunk. I really need something to protect my subs. I already tried turning the box around, but it sounded a lot worse. My meter, even registered the difference.

Really need somethign that will protect these, and is small enough to fit on my .6ft3 box. I cant believe ED doesnt have soemthing like this, but they obviouslly dont. I mean pioneer, kicker, and even audiopoop (bahn) have their own grilles.
