Default Need help with cathode setup

I currently have 2 12" Cathodes mounted to the back of my back seats. They are wired directly to the batter and have a switch.

I want them to light up when the hatch is opened. Like the cargo light...
Anyone know what I need to do this? Tool and stuff needed?
I heard I need a relay...

Help would be great!

I don;t think that works. I've blown 3 fuses that way. You can;t run them with the stock wires...

I have a set of cathode tubes tapped into the Hatch light and I have not had any problems. they come on when I open the rear hatch. I'm not sure why you keep blowning fuses.

well.... you could just run a relay from the hatch wires to the transformers wires.

Pin 86- constant +12v power source
Pin 87- power from the relay going to the red wire of the cathode transformer
Pin 85- find a bolt in the back hatch somewhere and run a wire from this pin to it
Pin 30- This will hook in to the positive wire of the rear hatch light

I got it, no relay needed but thanks anyways. My problem was that I had ordered the cheapy cathodes made for computers a long time ago. Well the transformer for those kits do not have reverse polarity protection like my new ones from oznium.com

So It is really easy now it looks like I had planned along time ago!

Hook it up to the switch in the back for the little lite on the side of the trunk area and when you open it just flip the switch or just mount a switch seperate from that and just turn it on when you open it.
