Default Need help choosing and buying new LED's

Hey ppl. Im looking to do all the LED work on my car. HVAC, guages, steering wheel, shifter, cubby and anything else you can think of.

Now, I dont know where to buy the LEDs and the wedge LEDs. I want them all to be the same color (blue, to match my Eclipse AVN5435). Im going to reverse my LCDs too (already got my hands on the DIY)

So questions are, where can i buy these bulbs. I want them bright, ive heard of the horror stories of dim LEDs. Any suggestions for the adhesive i should use to remove the layer on the LCD's?

Thnx!

You can buy them on ebay or lc-led.com. If you want to go cheaper... go on ebay.. and buy them. The bulbs are plcc-2 for the gauges, HVAC, and steering wheel controls. Window controls bulbs are different.. not sure what size on that. Good luck!

I sell the LEDS a LOT cheaper than LC-LED, so does Squall, whiteblazer, etc.

PLCC-2 will work for most of what you want to do. You have to do my mod as well for the HVAC so they dont come out super dim. It is in the tech section here. I can also send out kits with everything you need for your swaps including the HVAC stuff.

The leds I use are slightly darker blue than the LC-LED units, which I think is much nicer and matches other devices well.

wedge bulb leds most people have good things about superbrightleds.com

but as far as plcc's for swapping... then like dave mentioned.. me, him, whiteblazer.. and you forgot.. garage1217 can sell them

and as far as the lcd stuff... (hehe.. my diy?)... you can use goo gone. let soak and rub off.

^^ Have you tried the goo gone gel? I let a polarizer soak.. then wiped.... the soak, then wiped, then soaked for about 3 hours.. then wiped. It was like I hadnt done a thing. I ended up dealing with 91% Isopropyl and a QTip to get it off, and that took a while! I am going to grab some of the original goo gone or another thin adhesive remover next time, so far I am not too impressed with the gel

I just use goo gone... Peel off the polarized film... use a new razor blade with care, and simply take the glue off. Turns out flawless with no scratches or glue left and takes me about 10 minutes. I then apply new polarized film with adhesive for a stock look.

As for leds that match eclipse decks, The ones I sell which are probably the same as everyone elses match my eclipse deck flawless "cd7000" and also the "cd5000" deck I did in the last few weeks.

Forgot to add, I sell the ODO lcd screens already reversed.
Price is $70 shipped
If you send back your stock ODO then I credit you back $35.00

I also can sell the HVAC LCD screen for $100 with a $50 credit back if I get yours returned in mint condition.

jeremy buys a whole new filter that has the adhesive on it

you don't really need it as long as it's secure and in place on top of the lcd.
