IM trying to put up led on my door handles in the inside but i wanted to know were to hook up the leds tooo i was wondering if i could hook it u to the power window but what cables shoud i use. I been searching for this topic but cant find what im looking for.

 

prolly not the best idea to hook them up to anything in the door...

your best bet is to run a power and ground into your door through the wire boot in the door jam and wire things up that way...

if you tap into your window mod, or door locks... nothing good can come from it...

 

lol if you wired into your power windows.. its a closed cirut connection only. so the light would only stay on if you were persay rolling up and down the windows all the time..tweet has the best idea. run it threw the door into your car either one you can run it to the consol where your deck is and run it off that power and ground so the lights come on with your stero when you turn the key. or you can run it off of your headlights so that when you turn on your headlights they come on.. thats your best idea cause i doubt you want them on during the day anyways.. not that led's are going to drain your batery ne ways. if you need more help or questions feel free to holler.

 

I've connected mines to a power window source.. lights only come on when ignition is given. There is a constant source available and a source that only comes on with ignition..
