Default need help......fast

ok heres the scoop....i have a kenwood dvd monitor and im trying to hook up my slim model ps2. The inverter is a 200W continuous and 400W max......so i hooked everything up, i have power to the head unit, console and inverter but no video. I cant figure out whats wrong, i just bought new video cables for the console so i know it cant be that, the inverter has a overload warning system on it and that has not gone off so i know the inverter is not over working......anybody know what could be wrong?????

First lets get some clarifaction:

Based on what you have wrote, i appears as if the inverter is working fine. From this i am assuming that the ps2 is powered up. correct??? you can confirm this?? i assume the green led is on and the disc spins.

Second, you claim to not have video. But theres no clarification on whether or not the audio is playing.

third, is your kenwood unit bypassed so that it allows video to play without the parking break on?

i think some more details about your situation can help us come up with a solution to your problem.

Set your parking brake up, then you can go into your system menu and change your video source. Need to have the parking brake up in order to play it.

update:

Yes, i have it bypassed....i can watch dvds while driving...

i pluged in my R-Cam wire to a power source and i got video, i can see the game and it looks fine but now i have no audio....i took it to the sub shop and he says i wont ever get audio, why would they make a head unit meant for video, dvd, and such and not have audio on the video?? that doesnt make any since....

.....im about to say *** this and just put my flat screen in my trunk and hook up my xbox 360.....

i think pluggin it to the reverse camera input is a good way to test if the video output is working on the ps2 but you just cant leave it on there!!! that input is meant as a secondary rearview only. it does not have audio, theres no need for it. you have to hook it up to your aux input.

You can ask an installer about mobile video lmao. Just seems to me like you dont have your red and white rca's plugged into the correct spot.
