Ok so i started assembling my system today, i stripped the entire interior except the seats and dash for now. So i'm mounting my two at the very back of the trunk under the floor. I was going to make a new floor out of 3/4 MDF so i traced the outline of the factory trunk carpet peice when i realized that it only fits in the car because the edges fold. I was wondering how everyone else got there new floor peices to fit? Any pictures would help.

THats what i was thinkin but i was looking at everyone's setup on here and it looks everyone just has one solid floor piece?!?!?

 

You'll need to hinge it. I had to on mine as well, just use a hidden style hinge.

yup, just go grab some simple hinges from hardware store

 

ummm... I vote to make it 2 piece, then have a single piece flexible cover for it...

I cut mine down the middle and ran two piano stley hinges on the under side. I dont have photos but if you can make a template and cut it out for the rear floor I am sure you can install hinges.

 

wat are u guys talkin about????....are u replacing the floor rug on the entire car???

 

It sounds like they are replacing the carpeted piece in the back (that covers the spare tire) with a solid piece to mount the speakers in.
