Default NEED HELP Have to mount crossovers for edi6500 tomorrow!

Ok everyone I finally got my edi6500's in the doors and the door dampened alittle and need some help mounting the x-overs. I have searched and found some people who said they mounted them behind the kickpanels. I would love to mount them there becuz less speaker wire to run and also easiest part of the car to rip apart quick I believe. The only problem is that I am a visual person and have yet to see anyone's pics. All I have come across are details about doing it.

Wondering if anyone has found some pics of the x-overs mounted in the front under the kickpanels or has pics of their own. Also I found a good spot above where the wires come thru the door on passenger side and behind the glove box would be completely hidden but yet could easily get to once the box is dropped. Problem is I did not find a similar spot on drivers side and my 0awg wire is running on that side and very close to the x-over, and I figured it would not be good to mount them that close to the power wire.

I mounted mine on the door just above where the armrest is. I have also seen pics on here of someone mounting theirs on the doors just below the window.

I have not seen any pics of anyone who has actually mounted the crossovers in the kick panels of the tC. There are a lot of plugs and wires in the way on the driver's side. I just don't see where it would fit nicely.

ok so no rear speakers then. Well hell, there is plenty of room back there. I was under the assumption there would be speakers back there.

yup. I mounted the EU700s in the rear behind the walls so it appears stock, and put the amps in the foam container on the passenger side. Can't see anything in my car. But you sure can hear it.

enjoy.

when you say you put the eu700's behind the rear walls or mean in the back seat not in the hatch right? Because I was going to do that originally and thought that might not be a good idea being that if I ever have rear passengers all they will hear is bass. But does it sound good??? Also do you have any pics of it before you put the panels back on because I plan to mount two eu700s in the floor of the hatch to the right of the spare but if that sounds good I might pick up two more and put them in there also.

Polk dB6500 components in doors
Polk dB650s in rear
EU700s in the rear hatch area.

like that.

Pretty clean looking but I bet it was a _____ to do. Thats kinda kool maybe if my box under the floor don't go right I can put it there. Thats actualy what I wanted to do with my 12" subs I had in there did not have enough room but these subs probably do.

yeah, it wasn't as hard as it would seem. but then again, it wasn't the easiest thing in the world. Also, they are mounted free-air style so they do lose a little bit of quality on the really low notes, but for the most part it is pretty functional and out of the way. I have all of my cargo space available which is what I was aiming for.

Hmmmmmmm This looks good.

Ive been trying to figure out though....how do you get it so that your db6500's and db650's are powered by an amp, and then the eu700's in there are also powered by an amp?

I have an Alpine MRP-F240 which puts out 40W@4ohms for the 6500s and the 650s. The Eu700s are powered with a mono rockford fosgate rated at 183W@2ohms, so each Eu gets about 91.5W.
