Yes, it is possible, you need a Line Out Converter (LOC) to hook into the back of the head unit. If your just doing subs you only need a 2 channel LOC.

The wiring harness for the stock headunit is here The Scion FAQ

Any other questions?

The LOC will come with 4 wires (if you have a 2 channel) A positive and negative for the Right channel, and positive and negative for the Left channel. The instructions for the LOC will tell you which is which.

Use the wiring harness from my other post to figure out which wires you need to tap into. I suggest using the rear left and right speaker wires to tap into, thats what I have off of mine and I'm using the stock head unit too. (For now....)

As for the LOC im using the
SCOSCHE - LOC80 - 2-Channel Adjustable Lineout Converter

exactly like he said, i went into the FAQ thread here and it tells you exactly what wires do what. it took me just over an hour to install a sub in the trunk. the dash comes apart super easy. the interior panels come out extremely easy, overall this is the easiest stereo i've ever done and it sounds awesome.

Shorty, moving this to the Ice & interior forum where subs and such are discussed.

(its even easier if you happen to have the wiring from the VSE bazooka sub it takes the wires all the way to the back so you dont need to mess with the radio at all. everything you need is taken to the trunk. did a whole amp and 10" sub in less than an hour.)
