791 is good... usually can be found at bby...

the 5900 is better... bascally the same exact thing... just the 5900 has the 1 mile range...

the 791 has more like a half'ish mile range... or so...

5900 is like 600 retail...

791 is like 500 retail...

you could prolly find either on ebay for 200-250ish..

Well the 791 "claims" to have a 1/4 mile range, but alot of people don't get that range. So I'm guessing its gonna be the same for the 5900.

actually... i have had nothing but happy customers with the 5900... i put one in for a customer that said he could remote start his car from othe other side of our local mall... now i am not saying its a mile.. and usually to get a something close to a mile out of them you would have to turn the code hopping feature off... i would say max on the 791 1/4mile... on the 5900 max... maybe 2/3 of mile...

also remember differenct things all around can affect these distances... hell.. weather, security systems on buildings... ect.... but go with the 5900 its seems to stretch the distances a little more....

Yea I have the 791 right now. I'm looking to upgrade to the 5900 when I have a chance. DEI techs said basically you need to be in an open area to get ranges that they claim.
