well, the subs arent too much. something normal should do. a normal jl, or something of the sort. mabye about 500watt. im running a power acoustik 560 watt from 1993 to my audiobahn 10. and it works great. im too cheap and had it layin around. lol

Which model of JL 8W3v2 will you be using, D2, D4 or D6? They can all be wired for different loads, but the load presented to the amp will be different for each model, and you can't choose the proper amp without knowing what the load requirement is.

As for the HU pushing 4 sets of those speakers, yes it will, but a 4-ch amp could provide you with better performance. Look for something in your price range that has a built-in high-pass crossover at 80Hz or higher (considering they're 5.25" mids) and 50wpc or more.

If you want it to sound good you need to buy the best......Personally I would go with Matts amps, but with those speakers you could get any amp really......well not power acoustic like that other guy, you should spend about $1/watt.

I checked out your ebay link and found they list all three models, same as I did, implying you can get any of them. You need to pick one, then an amp can be recommended.

yes, pick QTY of subs you want, as well as the voice coil configuration and let us know. From there we can recommend different amps that will fit certain applications with those subs and wiring configurations. As for the speakers, I'd highly recommend a 4channel amp to power any aftermarket speakers...

ok then, you need an amp that is about 500x1 at 1ohm or 4ohm...

the Elemental Designs Nine.2 amp is 400x1@4ohm so that would work well... plus you get a discount for being a member here... only $175 shipped

http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/adv...keywords=forum

^^ that shows you all of the forum discounts...
