I have an 07 manual tranny tc with remote start. you just have to get the right remote start and you will be fine. Idk if your doing it yourself or what because it is pretty involved. I would highly reccomend you stop in at circuit city and purchase the python 872 alarm and remote start as it is setup for manual transmissions. I am currently running a python1600xp with a 689m manual transmission module. Circuit will charge you between 480-550 depending on which bypass module they use.

how much did you pay for the whole install. I could manage just buying the kit and doing it myslef. but it its a good price that you paid i won't go thru the whole hassle of doing it myslef.

Well thing is i am a professional installer so obviously i paid alot less but without knowing your skill level of installing i wouldn't reccomend you try it yourself unless you have done remote starts in the pass as they are not the easiest thing to do in newer vehicles

Well, i've seen some at my local car toys for 250$. Install from them would probably be around 3-400$, but if you think you could do it yourself, I say go for it.

Viper 5701 is set up for auto and manual transmissions. I believe its Viper's newest ones. Not to mention, installation is a lot easier. I had this installed for $450.

I wouldnt trust going to circuit city or best buy for my alarm installation. Go to a professional. All my wires were soldered.

try to locate a shop that will install this on a MT car FIRST... a lot of them out here won't bother.

Viper, Python and Clifford is made by DEI (Directed). Same products just rebadged under a different brand. Any of those will do fine.

As for prices it all depends on how advanced and fancy you want it. It wouldnt matter if we gave you price considering some might have bought the alarm and installation in the price, while others just bought it and installed it themselves. Not to mention, different locations, different sellers/installers means different prices.

Go to www.viper.com and you can see a list of authorized sellers/installers by searching your area. From there, you can call them up and ask what they charge for the alarm and installation. Thats the most accurate pricing you'll get.

i say viper or clifford, alarms dont matter if its for manual or not just ground the points it needs, make sure u kno how to install it first of all, or if u have someone install it they will have to use the ones for manual

i would go with viper if i was doing it on my 08 but thats just me. just make sure to leave it in neutral all the time. i have heard many horror stories where the car starts driving on its own. the ebrake is not strong enough to hold it in place.

Best buy is definately not the cheapest they charge more than almost everyone out there. You need to make sure the remote start you get works on manual transmissions such as the python 872 so you don't need to worry about starting your car in gear. That unit will have all the extra safety measures in place to make sure it does not start in gear ever, plus it has the outputs to pulse your clutch pedal.

I dont know how long the Python 872 has been out but the newest as I mentioned was the 5701 and is made to be put into a manual transmission.
