i have an all rockford fosgate system, and last sunday i replaced the stock speakers with the rockford power speakers that you can find at best buy. I replaced the front and rear. A pair will run you $135. I know someone that works at a best buy, so i used his employee discount and got 2 pairs for $120.
The speakers sound great with the subs. It is very clear when its on a high volume. I still have the stock radio.
you may have something else in mind, but just thought i would share my experience since i recently upgraded speakers.
good luck.

The eDI 6000s would go great w/ that amp even the 6500s, just depends on what you want to spend, both would be perfect.

Extra midbass, seal up the doors well and you'll get plenty from either set. Even without the tC doors sealed well, as long as you deaden them, the midbass is very nice, play down to 60Hz no problem.

Let me know if you have any questions about those speakers.

Also, SL members get $25 off the 6500s, just enter eDB65S as the coupon code.

well m friend works at best buy also so im having him look into speakers, about the eDI speakers, look really nice but damn thoese 6500 are pricey!! i listen to alot of soca/reggae, r&b/soul, and rap, so i want some thmp but not that earth shattering stuff....i was also trying to avoid loading the tC down with heavy ___ autio equipment or sound deading material. if i was to seal the door, how much weight do you think it would add to ym chubby baby?

Completely overdeadening the doors, maybe 10 pounds total

And yeah, the 6500s are our top end set up, comparable to other high end systems. The 6000s though are no slouch

Tools needed:

Drill to remove rivets.
Jigsaw/router to create baffles.
Screws/bolts

That's really about it. Pretty easy actually.

While I don't have a tC ( yet) ... this is my current plan. Of course, I'll probably use this setup no matter what I end up in!

eD 6000's in the front
700's in the rear mid panels setup IB
eD 9.4 amp powering everything
Panasonic deck that I already have for the time being.

Unfortunetly I haven't got to listen to the 6000's, but I'm really wanting to try them out based on the little amount I've got to play around with my 700's.

I've got to say this though, eD's customer services was beyond top notch when I purchased my 700's! I mean, I'm impressed enough that it swayed me to wanting to buy their 6000's unheard!

Here's a pic of the baffles for the 6500s

Mine=3/4" MDF. Really piece of cake to make as long as you can trace lines and use a jig saw.
