Default new aftermarket headunit and subs question about hookup

So my first setup I had in my car was 2 mtx 10's hooked up to my factory head unit. I had this done professionally for me. I now have installed an avic d3 aftermarket head unit and everything works fine, but I have no controll over the subwoofers as they are not in the subwoofer plugs in the back of the Headunit.

Do I simply unhook the rca black and red connections that are being spliced into the main headunit cable and plug them into the subwoofer ports instead? Sorry for the dumb question, but any help would be greatly appreciated as the control over my subs would be great. They are hitting too hard in some songs and I'd love the option to turn them down at times. Thanks

yeah just unplug them from the rca adapter, and plug them directly into the sub woofer plug on the back of the d3 and ul have full control lol

What I thought, just didn't want to screw something up. Not exactly the audio expert, I felt accomplished as it is getting my led swap done myself and the d3 install lol. Learning as I go :D
