CD's are digital, but not in the sense we are talking, CD's are turning into cassettes, they are to much space, 5 cd's stacked together could hold 100 songs, where a device that is only as tall as 5 cd's can hold 20,000 songs

 

yes your right... digital media is the face of the future. and its nice to see car audio manufacturers that realize that and take steps to usher in the era....

Cassete to CD was a big leap, just as CD to DM will be..

 

but will the world fall to the sad world of standard 128kbps or go to the cd quality 320kbps.. DUN DUN DUN! :D

i know that FM sucks in terms of quality.. but how is the bt as far as quality go? i have yet to mess with it (1. i havent got the bt adapter yet for my d3.. 2. my phone doesnt have a2dp (w810i))

 

BT is used for audio transfer, im not sure of the quality though either, they make a lot of headsets, but i think most of them stay at 128, don't quote me on that though

304kbps is pretty good... although it looks like it can support upto 700+kbps....
