Its pretty darn close to 700 watts. I am pushing the sub with a MTX Thunder Elite 601D that is rated at 600watts but mtx always under rates their amps. Its pushing out at least 650 to the sub continously.

In my opionion it sounds better than a w7, its cleaner bass and my freind at work has a w7 in his 350Z and said mine sounded awesome

 

yes and no. the sub will probably never see 650 actual watts, depends on how you set the gains though i guess.

there are things like impedance rise and the fact that music is dynamic. so it's not "always" seeing 650 watts. i bet it sounds good and gets pretty loud though. i'm not questioning that at all.
