newly bought TRD shift **** not threading?

Bought it off ebay for $40 shipped..it claims to fit scion tc but when i put it on my car,,it can't screw down to the bottom..it stucked at half way and i tried to screw it and push down hard but no luck...anyone knows the reason?

contact the seller and let them know the situation. if they're a reputable company, they might just send you another one and ask for you to send the defective one...
