Default Next Project...

Well ive decided my next project will be my system but I have to admitt...I dont know anything when It comes to choosing a system...

So Ive decided I am going to get two 12" Subwoofers and an Amp but I dont know any good brands or stores to buy these. My friend told me JL Audio was a good brand but it looks a little to expensive. So I really just want a nice system with some good Bass...Any Help????

yea people tend to love the w6's I got one and I love it.

But with the normal 400 dollar price tag it is way up there haha.
For how low wattage it is to power it though it is a great thing and rattles like a ****...

Neothin has two w6's and I am sure he is pretty deaf by now.

i'd rock two of these

http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=35

and one of these

http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=44

w/ the package builder its $641.75 which is less than half the cost of the two w6's plus you get a 1200 watt mono amp.

seems like a no brainer to me

yeah thats the easiest way to do it and mtx is pretty good but you have to go up to their expensive stuff for them to be worth it.

i will be goin with the jl system, but a buddy of mine has a custom audio shop and they have crossfire subs, amp, and highs, and they are awesome for the price, check it out... www.crossfirecaraudio.com/
i actually have a set of highs in my truck and they sound great, especially since it was only like 200 bucks installed for all 4, and there subs and amps are awesome too.

i personnaly wouldnt go with the new rockford pieces, they were awesome back when they started but now that they have gone so main frame quality reall isnt there like it used to be. just like the more basic alpine hu, they used to be awesome untill about a year or 2 ago they enter the best buy world, and the quality has gone down the pot

that is true, basically when it comes down to it the best bet i think is go with the w6 and it will definately last a long while and will be worth the money. but if ur on a budget i still say check out crossfire, they sound really nice, my buddy has a full crossfire system in his bagged 150 and it is badd ___!

i was once in this position and choosing the right system is all about what and how it is going to be used.

the best brand for subs, IMO, are from RE audio. BUT there are other subs that I think are great for less the price. alpine type-r and eD sub are to name a few.

amps really vary for me, but if i had to choose eD are great if you are looking at pricing, power, and quality.

i would also change your head unit if you want to get a system. i would recommend eclipse, pioneer, or kenwood.

MOST IMPORTANTLY installation!!! boy, i seen so many people spend so much of their money into having the biggest, most powerful subs with the most powerful amps out in the market and have crappy installation. what i mean is, if you are going to spend $500 to $10000 on subs, amps, and a hu, please spend a couple more for quality wiring (stinger, knu konceptz, and streetwire), custom box (pre-fab boxes suck, have it custom made), and proper installation (someone who knows about car audio and installing them, DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL). if not, then your system is just a waste of money!!!!!!!!!! simple as that. :D

good luck!
