so does it tell you when to shift or what gear you're in?? or both?? I won't be getting it, but I am curious.

Well considering your ECU doesnt even know what gear you are in (other than reverse), and with the cable setup we have, there is not a very good way to monitor that (trust me, someone has already asked me to do something like this, and it is tough to do reliably), it must use some sort of position sensor in the ****, making it unreliable.

Not to mention it looks like crap and has zero use. You should not be looking at the shifter while driving.. you should be looking at the road

Seems kind of pointless. If my hand is on the shifter I already know what gear I'm in. Would I take my hand off, look at the display, then shift accordingly?

It claimed more fuel efficiency. That in of itself turns me off. What a load of marketing crap. And definitely should keep your eyes on the road.

Ugh, I can just imagine this stuff in combination with that CAGS crap they put in GM cars to get around the gas guzzling stuff!

totally different situation. Those stats are for computer entuhsiasts - they're hardly useless figures.

I guess those "car nerds" on the racetrack with their silly boost gauges are stupid too?

But nonethless, yes, this is stupid. If you need something like this , they make something for you... its called a paddle-shifted slushie

Default They will make it for the tC

If anyone is really interested in buying the shift **** I e-mailed the company and this is what the sales guy write back

What I asked:
I was looking around and I came across a shift **** that changes as you change gears. I was wondering would you be able to make one for a Scion tC?

The Responce:
They will work in any model car as long as it does not have a reverse lock, so as long as your Scion does not have that then it would work just fine.

If you have any other questions just let me know.

Thanks
Damian
