noob- changing the rear speakers to a 6 1/2
Like I stated in my first post (rudely presented, but my point still stands): I don't care what facts you throw at me, or if you tell me that physics say I am a moron for running rear speakers, but I stand my ground. I like the sound pumping from all speakers. Yes, I have the front faded +3 out of 15, but that is not enough to stop sound from the rears.
^^Man, that sounds clean! Unfortunately it sounds like its coming from the fronts and the sub only. Still, I like my rear speakers. I have more important things going on in my life other than audio SQs. So the rear speakers will stay. And to those of you who have the time, ROCK ON!
Lastly; "Summa Summa Summa-time"!
Reminds me of that song Will Smith (Fresh Prince) did when he was good!

Will Smith sampled Kool and the Gang...but yea.
I mean, I know the fronts will overpower the back (in that case I did it on purpose) but I have my rears and my fronts equal in every day driving

It has more to do with how humans hear, and how we "localize" sounds by their arrival times. When someone is standing in front of you and to your right, when they speak you can tell where they are by listening, even if your eyes are closed. Even though there's only ~6" of space between your ears, the sound arrives in your right ear first, so you know that's where the sound originated from.
So what the problem in the tC? The way most people sit, the rear speakers may actually be closer to your ears than the fronts (I know my left rear is closer to my ear than the left front)., and in that case the sound from the rear hits your ears first. Even if you lower the volume to half that of the fronts, the mind will still think the sound is originating from the rear, like having your back to the stage at a concert. This isn't what many people want, but if it makes you happy, that's ok.
