I know this probably is lame and not important, but little stuff like this bothers me when I can't seem to figure it out.

I have 06' Tc with the standard pioneer system (going to swap it out soon). But in some manual or book I read, there's some way to change custom messages and even have it say "Scion" in japanese.

The steps they list are fine, except they tell you to push and hold the "A" button... wth is the "a" button? If anyone has done the japanese thing, please tell me what you did because I just want to see if it actually does it.

insert cd and set to track number 2, press and hold 'Folder Down' and 'Text' simultaneously and turn the key so 'ACC' is off.

ah thanks. I found an older thread and apparently the "scion" in JP is only for the 05' models.

 

the whole scion in japanese thing wont work with the 06 headunit but you do get to customize it with your own greeting.

 

It can be done on the '06 HU. Instructions are in the latest Scion magazine (volume 07) from the dealership.
