Default Noob stereo question

Yes I did a search...

Here is my first question on this forum as I just bought my 2010 tc last Monday.

I have the "upgraded Pioneer" HU with the 3 sets of RCA outs.

I pulled my Alpine SPX components (2 pairs) out of my car before I traded it in, along with my 4ch and mono amps (Alpine) and MB Quart boxed sub.

What would it sound like if I connected all of the Alpine stuff to the "Upgraded" HU?

I almost had the dearler convinced that I should get the XB Alpine HU instead, but they said that it was a different wire harness and that it wouldnt work.

Is that true as well?

Thanks in advance for hearing me out on this one. I still have the Alpine CDA-9857 HU, but wanted to keep the stocker as i paid too much for it already, and it is a nice fit (for now).

Um i am sure it will sound better than stock. If you running speakers from an amp the get the power they need to perform instead of the lil bit of power he deck throws at them. But as far as I know all headunits from scion are interchangable. Thats why you can choose what deck you want when you buy your ride!

Cool. Thank you. It will be 2 Alpine MEV series amps (a 4ch and a mono) 2 pairs of SPX Alpine 6.5 components, and a 12 MB Quart sub in a Q Logic box. I am building out the trunk floor for a flush amp enclosure, and running all Scosche wiring.

The only reason that I bought the upgraded head unit was for the 3 outputs in RCA. I really didnt want to lose the functionality of the stock stuff, and it isn't a bad looking HU either. Not to mention I wanted to stay double din too.

I'll post up pictures when I'm done.

Has anyone else done this type of hybrid before?
