Default oem Scion mats

Hey guys, just wanted to post this thread because i wanted to know if the mats that you can get through scion are any good. My g/f's friend has a xB and has the mats and speaks that they are crap. I just wanted to get everyone else's opinion on them. If they are crap though what do you suggest i get, b/c i need something that will last me through winter. 1's that the cloth on them wont bunch up into ***** and make it impossible to vacuum them when your trying to clean your car.

thanks a lot guys.

I have them, and I like them a lot. They are good because, you can take out the carpet so it doesnt get destroyed in the winter. I also never had a problem vaccumming them as well. They are probably worth it, especially if you get a good deal on ebay and such.

I was ____ed when they came with my car and I couldn't do anything about it... now, a month alter, I called my dealer and apologized about making a big deal about it. They are well worth it.

If i had pictures i'd show you guys but i dont. I'm sure you all know what i mean anyway.

Hey CosmicScion,
Thanks for making this a topic.. seems silly at first but you know, I just got my tC on Friday and didn't get the mats since they were an extra $150 and I was planning on doing everything aftermarket. By Sunday however, after picking just a few crumbs of dirt out of my carpet (new car obsessive-compulsive personality is a reasonable defense, right?), I realized I'd just take the mats if I could get them online for cheap. I found them for $113 from some online official dealer.

Then I called my dealer about something unreleated and mentioned to him I wanted some floormats, he said the dealership sold the 4pack dual mats for only $100. wtf? Why is the option standard at $150 but 3 days later the dealer sells the same thing for $100? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about this just surprised. I'll be picking them up tomorrow.

I like 'em. I too was going OCD on the carpet part of the mats but finally just took the inserts out and only put them in for shows.

I actually got the mats and trunk mat somehow without paying for them. I didn't even lowball the dealer into giving them to me. They were in the car, but not on the invoice so I was happy.

Ever since I got my tC, that's always been the price... the $80-ish price.

I think it used to be ~$75

Hey, thanks for the tip on getting them for $80, I always love having options. I looked at the shipping though and even for the no-frills UPS Ground, it'd still come out at $88.26. So, I'll just spring the extra ten bucks and pick them up tomorrow from my dealer.. again, I'm being paranoid about the dirt on my virgin carpet atm. ;)

Ok, I snagged my mats today from the dealership and though I casually mentioned that TRD was selling them for $80 online, the guy said back, "Was that with shipping?" My reply of course was, "No, it was about $88 with shipping." to which he said, "Ah, yeah." and apparently that was the end.

I shrugged and gladly paid the $105 (that's with tax and all) and put them in. Though I'm torn on whether or not I should leave out the carpet inserts for more showy times or just leave them in since I really dunno if I'll ever "show" her off anyway.
