Default OK to leave it on "recirculate" all the time?

I like to leave my blower on recirculate most of the time. Alot because it blows out more air with less fan speed and, mostly, it filters the cabins air.

Going to hurt anything? Is it ok?

I leave mine on recirculate as well... All of what you said is true and plus its easier for the car to cool down cool air instead of outside air.. (if its hot outside at least..)

I thought I'd be the only one doing this...I guess not!
I see no problem doing it cause nothing worse than the windows getting foggy unexpectedly.

it will not filter the interior air as we do not have cabin filters in our cars. but i have had mine on for 3 years with no issues. but when im low on gas i usually turn it off when i have my a/c off, then i still get air coming in.

Are you on the crack? I have a cabin filter. I've seen it and played with it in my own hands.

i leave mine on almost all the time. keeps out most of the exhaust from cars and trucks that are not maintained.

you know the ones that leave a smoke screen when they drive

i turn it on all the time because even with the fans shut off air still comes out the vents when its off. so if you turn it on while the fans are not on it stops air coming out of the vents.

not sure if that made any sense lol

09 models have a cabin filter and maybe the 08's, but for sure anything before that doesn't.

there is a slot on the earlier models. For $18 you can buy a home depot filter and enjoy filtered air for a year.

well i didnt know they started putting them in, but as i stated, ive had mine on for 3 years, so clearly mine is not an 08 or 09. and if you go into a dealership asking for a cabin filter for an 06 tc they are going to say there isnt one. so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

i do it all the time, even though i always roll with my windows down. when i do roll em up, like on the freeway, its on recirculate. no nasty smells, and cooler air for the ac.

there is a slot right behind the glove box on tc's but no they don't have a cabin filter for tc's at the dealership. you can get the one for corollas that will fit it i believe. or u can just make your own like previously stated. leaving it on recirc will not damage anything. all it does is it keeps the door blocking the fresh air vent so outside air will not come into the cabin.

That's not necessarily true.

There is a redline. I bet running it at redline all the time it would not be considered safe for the car.

I was only asking because I thought there might be someone on this forum who maybe knows something I don't know regarding the recirculate. Fortunately for me, that doesn't appear to be the case.
