Default ok matter of opinion here... need some input

aight well currently my setup is premier 680 headunit, jl 500/1 to 2 10w3v3-4, jl 300/4 to stockers (for now). i have contimplated on selling the 500/1 and the subs and just going with a single jl 8w7 on a jl 250/1 (black series for cosmetic purposes). ofcourse it wont be as loud, but i want something very tight and crisp that wont take up much room. im going to build a ported and sealed enclosure for the 8w7 if i get it, see what i like best, then base the rest of the setup off of that... so what do u guys think? and how much do u think ill lose as far as sound is concerned? obviously a good bit, but ive never heard an 8w7.

my setup now... and yea the carpet was rolled up.... oops lol

The only thing you should lose is low-bass SPL, nothing more, and you should still have all the bass that's needed to overpower your main speakers. The new setup should be easier to balance for SQ, and I think you'll be really pleased, unless you've become addicted to a consistantly pressurized cabin with your current sub system.
