passenger side window button doesnt work from drivers side
The other night I took apart both the driver and passenger side molds to the door locks/window switch pieces, in order to paint them. I put them back together this morning and every button works on both sides except for the drivers side button that controls the passengers window.
Has anyone else ever ran into this problem before? Are both sides connected somehow and only 1 wire is malfunctioning? Like I said the passengers side window button still works just fine its just on the drivers side. Does anyone has any ideas on what else I could have done to mess something up? Np paint got into the wiring that I know of [maybe a chip perhaps fell off the underside?]
Thanks guys if ya can help.

Okay yes, I just checked, the LED on the drivers side drivers window is blinking [the one on the left] What does that mean?
Also, if I push the passengers side window button to make the window go down or up, then press the drivers passengers side windw button the opposite direction , it still counteracts it and will stop the motion of the window [as it should]
So I know it works just... not properly.

Did you try playing with the window lock button? Maybe you need somehow twisted something around and now need to have that button down to control the passenger side.

yeah that was my first hunch as well. I unplugged the wiring and plugged it back in with the lock button pressed in, and not pressed in. Neither fixed it.
Also, I held the button up / held it down for maybe 10 seconds [as suggested above] but nothing seemed to kick it back into working order.

The blinking light just means that it lost power and the auto setting is not set right
The Scion FAQ
That will link you to how to reset the window, keep trying it until the light goes solid.
That should fix it

Locked.
Please search or read the manual next time.
Yeah, it's in the manual.
Please don't take that the wrong way, but this has been posted about a billion times.
And the first thing that I did the first time I took my car apart was look in the manual to see what was happening, and it explains how to go through the reset procedure....it really is there for a reason
