does anyone know the procedure for removing the a pillars when there are srs curtain airbags? Also will the pillar piece from a car without airbags fit on a car with airbags? Thanks for help!!!!!![/b]

Pry. Carefully. Disconecting the battery is a good idea too, just in case.

I don't know about swapping pillars.

just yank and you'll break a one-time use clip that is for the srs side airbags

Not necessarily. You're more likely to break the clip hammering the pillar back in.

The airbag does not come out of the pillar, so don't worry about that compromising the function of the airbags. They come out just behind the upper/rear of the a-pillar to just before the c-pillar.

no the clip holds the pillar tight to metal but the clip is a plastic piece in the metal. your pillar will still go back in it's spot and stay there if you break the clip. my driver's side has been that way for a while.
