Default Pioneer AVIC D3 Help!! - - - WIRING DIY

Hey, does anyone know where i can find an in-depth wiring guide for the Avic D3 --> tC... I have looked at all the DIY posts i could find (Phanon, NIck06, CHapman...) and have referenced them for the install but when it comes to the wiring.... im lost. those guys are already "wire saavy" so they didnt go into detail to much (no disrespect)...any help would be much appreciated to all the up an coming DIYer's....

yeah when you buy the harness it makes everything 40X easier.
Also you cont have wires from your factory spliced, which is nice if you want to maybe put another radio in it later

The wiring kit can be found here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/SCION-TC-FACTORY...QQcmdZViewItem

I didnt go into to much detail because I had already had the wiring kit wired from an old setup. When you buy the wiring kit, all of the wires are color coded and listed what they go to for the tC specific.

here is a DIY on how to wire a headunit for the tC. its not a D3, but its from my alpine headunit from before the tC. Same wiring tho.

http://forums.scionzone.com/smf/index.php?topic=1296.0

Doesnt show each wire being hooked up. But I can take a picture of how to connect 2 wires if ya need. Let me know if you help.

To mount the Avic you have to mount it back a bit, when you use the Metra install kit you will see a couple of dimples that is where you drill to set the unit back like 1/4".....othr wise the door will not close.

Default install

I had one in my car just get the wire harness for it and wen you put it in you will have to adjust the brackets like crazy to fit into the slot. I had min so the door coul not close and it worked out good because it was a sun deflector from the screen and if you want the system to work while your driving in dvd mode the wire they tell you to hook to your ebrake lever just hook it to the ground system and that will overide that.
